Chapter One

Prologue | Chapter One | Chapter Two

In today's world there is a spiritual war raging that threatens its stability as history races toward Revelation 13 and the short reign of the Antichrist. Given today's headlines, many are probably thinking like Habakkuk did when he confronted God,

v2 How long, O Lord, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, "violence!" but you do not save?

v3 Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds.

v4 Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails. The wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.

[Habakkuk 1:2-4 NIV]

Does this sound anything like the concerns we have today? I'll bet many of us have the same questions for God as we pray the prayer of Habakkuk for the intervention of Christ. God told us to seek His face [1] and to seek an intimate relationship with Him and He would come and heal our land.

v14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

[2 Chronicles 7:14]

However, where do we start? Satan plots not only to destroy man and woman's perception of God and how He feels about each of us, but he wants to destroy the family unit as well. God Himself put the first family together, and commanded them to be fruitful and multiply. Since that time, the family has been the backbone of society and if the enemy can destroy the relationship between man and God, man and wife, and of both men and women, he will win the battle for the world. In the meantime, while the enemy hems in the righteous, relationships and marriages continue to fail. We wonder, where are all the Issachar's [2] and prophets of today?

v7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

[Amos 3:7]

The Lord did just that when He awoke Pastor Judy Geppert one morning and shared with her His heart and desires. He spoke to her concerning the enemy gaining ground on the soul in terms of man's misconception of their significance to Him. Like Habakkuk, Judy wrote down her vision [3].

Later, after we'd poured over her notes along with many subsequent discussions, we both came to the realization that the magnitude of this revelation was something meant for the entire body of Christ. While I pondered the content and ramifications of her revelation, I already felt the pulling of the Holy Spirit to return to fellowship with God. As we prayed and sought guidance, the Lord gave us the mandate to write Back to Eden. Read how it started in Judy's own words.
